Am I in peri-menopause?

Did you know peri-menopause can last up to 12 years? So if you're in your late 30's or 40's, you may very well be in peri-menopause territory - YES, even if you're still cycling regularly!

If you're in your 40's it's time to get serious about your health - even if you don't have symptoms.

And if you're in your 40's and DO have symptoms, please know; these are your body's way of waving a red flag at you, trying to get your attention. Don't ignore her! You can have some of your best years to come if you sit up and take notice now. This is the time to get serious about your health.

Your 40's can be a very vulnerable time for your brain and heart health. What you do NOW to protect and improve your health in your 40’s will have health implications in your 50’s and beyond. This is the time when doing the right functional testing, supporting your gut health, and optimizing your nutrient status becomes more crucial than ever before!

You may be wondering, how can I tell if I'm in peri-menopause? Here are five clues:

  1. You're more weepy than you've ever been...

  2. Your periods have become heavier than they've been before, or have become more irregular...

  3. You're more anxious than ever, of you're not sleeping well...

  4. You've started to put on weight - especially around the mid-section...

  5. You're in your 40's!

If you've noticed some of these changes in your body, welcome to your peri-menopausal years! BUT -don't worry - there's nothing to fear. In fact, this is a wonderful time full of opportunity for living your best life if you choose to take care of yourself NOW.

Where do you start? My advice is, start with the right testing.
